I believe this may mark the beginning of the end of Guild Wars.

I like this update. In my opinion, black and white really needs to drop in value a little more. I'm not usually unoriginal enough to dye my armour black, but in the few cases were it would look best for one of my characters, it just costs far too much to bother with.

White dye is pretty ridiculous for what it is too, but it's gradually been dropping down to a more reasonable amount. I remember when it was going for over 50k.

Yeah!!!

Dye weekend FTW!!!! I love dye's, I horde them and am always giving them to guildies and such... This means that I will get 3 times as many as I mission my survivor thru the 3 campaigns!!!

Hmmm, looking at the weather forecast....90 and sunny for Saturday and Sunday. I think a roadtrip in the convertible is in my future. Now, if I can only find someone to watch the kids.

I thought Gaile mentioned that we will get new Sunspears skills this week. Would double Sunspears/LB points be more appropriate for that occasion? Or would it be after the test week passed? Oh well, I guess this will be a good weekend to enjoy outside :-)

Being a newbie, I was pleased to hear about this weekend. Cripes, I'm more interested in the aesthetics of my armor than faction points anyway.
I plan on playing quite a bit this weekend.
That being said, I also plan on going out and doing stuff. (Two different things in fourty-eight hours! Surely not. No human can operate at that pace!).
Keep in mind, a healthy mix of variety in one's routine is dependent upon their career. I worked in retail for years and the last thing I wanted to do during my down time was be social. Just as I'm sure the last thing a landscaper would want to do in their spare time is "enjoy the good 'ole outdoors".

The undead are going to take a beating this weekend. Hopefully black and white are in my future.

New title: Shameless Dye Hound

Edit - Changed my previous suggestion to "Hound" due to language filter.

They should change this to "Double Black and White Dye Drops Weekend". I have stacks of all the other colors already in my storage. Just cut it down to the colors people will actually be hunting for.

That makes it about the 8 or 9th beginning of the end for Guild Wars!

I know you were being sarcastic, by the way

Why does Anet feel that they have to put a weekend event up every weekend though? They never used to. I'm not complaining that they do, they can do what they want and I'd still play but eventually they will run out of things to do lol

I would probably prefer some sort of mini event every few months or so with a few little things going across all three campaigns or little events with small storylines to them with quests and what not.

Still, hope I get a black dye

At least it isn't as bad as the Lucky Weekend.....perhaps prices of Dyes will drop?

I have a Guildie that was able to max his lucky / unlucky titles during the Lucky weekend, so I imagine he'd beg to differ with you. Spent something like 2 mill gold doing it.

The only weekend event I would get excited about is a "hench/hero get no drops" weekend.

For some reason i prefer to use the dye that I farmed rather than the ones from trader... Maybe coz they are made by my hands?

Just a bunch of 4's and 8's above everyone's head in all the outposts.
Works fer me!

As for dye, as a few have probably said (One that I know of), I horde dyes, 12 black, couple white, 35+ of all other colors.
So not much of a weekend for me.

But the Ascalon Stronghold quest will be ran like nobody's business.

Unhappy

Seriously..

Do you guys want some cheese to go with your constant WHINE?

Grenth on a bike its a GAME not a lifestyle. There are over 50 weekends a year and Anet put something different on nearly every one of them. If you don't wanna collect dye then just play the freakin game as normal and wait for the weekend with the stuff that will make you happy.

Stop being such a bunch of nay-saying, whiney sons-of-mountain trolls.

You people are so self centered it makes me wanna puke fireballs.

See you in AB
